Mixed Team Memorial Day 2015-Results
In a new wrinkle for the Memorial Day weekend golf event Woodmont staged a Mixed Team 27-hole Stableford competition which attracted the participation of 26 members including 11 Keepers. This was the first of two mixed events that are part of The Keepers schedule for 2015 so the top five finishing teams in the net competition with Keepers kashed in on Keepers Kup Points for their effort.
With both Gross and Net prizes available each team played 9-holes of alternate shot, 9-holes of best ball, and a final nine of alternate shot getting Stableford points for net pars or better. This is the kind of format that can lead to lots of high fives and a couple of scowls as well between partners.
The 300 first place Keepers Kup points go to Sol Gordon for his partnership with Wendy and a winning score of 56 in the net division. Second place Kup points of 200 each go to Doc Keller and Kojak Greenberg who finished with 52 points. Tied for third at 50 net Stableford points were Marc “The Bronx Bantam” and Carol Fink and Peter “New Kid On The Block” and Elizabeth Robinson earning 125 Keepers Kup points each. Fifth among Keepers were Arnie and Susan Aronoff with 49 stableford points worth 50 in the Keepers Kup Standings.
