Keepers Pro-Schmo 2016-Results
The Keepers 2016 Kampaign came out of the paddock today with 43 Keepers playing in our annual Pro-Schmo event on the South Course. Playing with a virtual pro partner using their score from the Sunday rounds at The Masters each Keeper played a best ball off their net score on each hole for Keepers Kup Points and Kash Sweeps.
Once again this year the field was caught napping as Dave “The New Kid On The Block” Benson playing in his first Keepers event teamed with J.B. Holmes to claim first place honors shooting a sizzling 59 over a firm and fast zoysia track on the South. Dave helped J.B. early on the front side with net gains on 3, 4, & 5 as they turned in 31. On the inward half his net birdies on 11,14, 15, and 17 brought them home in 28 shots to best the field by one shot and win 300 Keepers Kup Points and $100 in Kash Sweeps for the effort.

Second place went to Moe “Kommish” Dweck who did a fine Schnitzel and Egg job with Henrik Stenson to take 200 Kup Points and $50 in Kash Sweeps. The Mish buried a 20-footer on 18 for a par-net-birdie to steal the Second Place Tootsie Pop out of the hands of Rich “Kojak” Greenberg who shot 61 with J.B. as his partner. Kojak claimed 150 Keepers Kup Points and $25 in Kash Sweeps for his third place finish.
Tied fourth, earning 40 Kup Points, shooting 62 were the pairings of Rich “1/2 portion” Sussman, Howard “The Prophet” Isaacson, John “Freaky” Friedson, and Neal “I Still Got Game” Bobys.
.

In the Players Pool Kash Kompetition Howard Isaacson was hotter than a Santa Ana wind starting net eagle, net par, net birdie, net birdie, collecting 13 points on the front nine alone on his way to a winning total of 22 points in the Net Pars or Better Stableford Kompetition. He took home $120 and bragging rights with a four point win over the field. Tied second, winning $80 each with 18 points were Marc “The Bronx Bantam” Fink, Freaky Friedson, and Neal Bobys. We are happy to say that our Players Pool Charity Fund now has $400 to start the year toward The Keepers annual contributions to the Folds of Honor Foundation, SMGA/Wounded Vets, and Israeli Defense Force Veterans. Thanks to all who participated and made this possible.
