Keepers Beat The Pro-2016
The Keepers annual Beat-The-Pro event will be played on Saturday August the 6th to align with the just-have-been completed PGA Championship. This is a mano-a-mano match play kompetition against the score of one of the prominent pros playing at the PGA Championship at Baltusrol the previous Sunday. Each Keeper will pick through our proven random e-mail selection process one of eight pro scores from their Sunday round at Baltusrol matched to par on the South Course.
Using 110% of their handicap it will be a hole-by-hole match against their virtual pro for Stableford-like points. For every hole the Keeper beats his pro he gets 3 points for pushed holes he gets 1 point. The total points for the 18 holes is his Beat-The-Pro score for the day. The kompetition will be played on the zoysia fairways of the South Course with tee times between 8:30 and 10:30 am.
In last year’s iteration on U.S. Open weekend at Chambers Bay the Cohen Kousins-Eddie and Paul led the way with 33 points beating Nick Watney and Rickie Fowler respectively. In a rare appearance Steve “I Had My Swerve Under Control” Lustig was third with 32 points also taking out Rickie Fowler.
