Keepers Ham and Egg 2018-Results
The field of Keeper short order cooks kompeting in today’s Ham and Egg Kompetition faced some really Bobby Flay performances by the top three finishers.
Playing on a hot but clear day on the North Course Marc, “I am not shopping for a putter anymore” Birnbaum and Howard “Stogie” Wollner threw a well done side of hash browns on the plate with a sizzling Net 65 Ham and Egg score. They had 4 birdies in the first 10 holes without using a Flip but a bogie on the 12th looked like it might be their undoing. They steadied with a birdie on 15 and then put the foot to the mat with a birdie on 17 and a 3 for 2 eagle on the new 18th, using their second cherished Flip. Going 4-under the last 4 holes they post what would be the winning score of 65 as the first group in.

The Fisher Bros. (Mike and Don) put real pressure on them on the way to a second place net 66. Using their first Flip wisely on the Par 5 3rd, Mike made an eagle net double eagle to fire up the grill. They employed their second Flip two holes later to use Don’s net birdie on the Par 5 5th. Coming down the stretch, they made net eagle on the 15th and birdied the 17th to get to 66 and second place money.
Dave “My game is back” Wexler and Jim “Security” Ackerman played klassic Ham and Egg golf with net eagles on 5 and 10 to go with net birdies on 1, 3, 14, 17, and 18 taking third place with a net 67.
The teams of Arnie Miller-Rich Sussman, Harry Harrison-Kolman Apt, and Steve Lustig-Joe Baldinger tied 4th with a net score of 2-under 70.
The Kup Points and Kash Sweeps per man are indicated on the Results Chart at the top of the page.

In the Players Pool Kash Game it was an individual low net kompetition. Howie “I won’t ask that again” Stein shot a fine net 68 to take home the top prize of $80. Marc Birnbaum and Rich “Rounding into form” Sussman were second at net 70 for $60 kash each. Tied third at net 71 were Jim Ackerman, Jon “Now you see your partner, now you don’t” Bortz, and Harry “Swagger” Harrison for $30 kash each. We raised an additional $310 for our Military Charity Players Pool through the Kash Game.
