Today’s Keepers Ham n’ Egg on the South Course, a.k.a. A Little Piece Of Arizona, was a hot and steamy affair as 22 teams battled tough pin positions trying to bring home the bacon and some Keepers Sweeps as well.
The team of Bobby “Jack Lalane” Fogel and Neal “I Found My Putting Stroke” Bobys proved to be a formidable force shoot Net 67 to take first prize of $120 Kash Sweeps and 300 Kup Points per man. Both playing off the Blue/Green Combo they shot gross 81 and 85 respectively, separating from the field on a 4 birdie stretch on 10, 11, 14, and 15.
Second Place was shared between the teams Allen “Return To Sender” Zweig and Burt “Kudley Bear” Feldman and Rich “Kojak” Greenberg and Alan “Terp Station” Schwartz who shot Net 71. Zweig-Feldman karded 3 birdies in a row on 4, 5, & 6 and finished with an eagle 3 on 18. Team Greenberg-Schwartz went birdie-eagle on 4 & 5 and birdied 16 & 18 in the klosing stretch. Each guy got $90 in Kash Sweeps and 175 Kup Points for the effort.
Fourth alone went to the team of Bernie “Finding His Stride” Greenbaum and Glenn “The Pastry Chef” Streidel with net 73 to win $60 in Kash Sweeps and 100 Kup Points.
There was a crowd of teams at Net 74 tying for Fifth-Rick Cohen-Rick Brecher, Rick Payes-Richard North, Barry Haberman-Keith Eig, and Jim Reznikoff-Sol Gordon-who took home $20 in Kash Sweeps and 25 Kup Points per man.
